New Mercedes Benz C-Class Starts Production.

The Mercedes-Benz plant in Tuscaloosa in the U.S. is the production site of the new C-Class . 
The plant is located in Alabama and is the third location of the global C-Class production network. The new C-Class sedan is running for the first time in Tuscaloosa from the belt and accompanies its production program of the SUV range, the M-Class, R-Class and GL-Class.
The sedan in the highest-volume series of Mercedes-Benz produced on four continents: the Bremen plant in Germany started in February and in the South African plant in East London started in May, the Tuscaloosa,  and  soon also the production site in Beijing (China).














 According to Markus Schäfer, Executive Vice President Mercedes-Benz Cars Production and Supply Chain Management: "With the successful start of production at the Tuscaloosa plant, we extend our C-class capabilities and are ready for the forthcoming autumn launch in the U.S. and Canada. For the first time the C-Class is also produced in Tuscaloosa - this challenge has increased the team's excellence. "

In the global production network, the Bremen plant controls the lead-works, the global production of the C-Class, from the tool strategy, the training of colleagues from the international locations, to product quality.


















Thus, Company ensures that its product is of the highest quality at all its production site. A total of around 500 employees from foreign plants, including more than 100 from Tuscaloosa, are undergoing intensive training on how to pass on their knowledge and skills so that they can act as multipliers in their respective parent plants.

According to Jason Hoff, Head of Mercedes-Benz plant in Tuscaloosa: "Many of our employees have partially spent weeks and months in Germany to think intensively with the new C-Class and the new technologies.  With our Inspired and motivated team, we are fully prepared to continue our success story'.

2015 Mercedes Benz GLE Coupe spied with less camouflage

It appears that Mercedes Benz is putting the final touches to its BMW X6 rivalling SAV, the Mercedes GLE Coupe. Seen here wearing a light disguise, this model may likely be the GLE 63AMG Coupe with its massive wheels, rear spoiler, four exhaust pipes design and prominent single bar grille. However, no official report about the engine line up but it is expected to include the 5.5 liter Twin turbocharged AMG V8 Engine which currently produces 525ps and 700nm of torque, which can be tweaked to produce more power and torque to battle its rival from munich.

Jaguar Land Rover considering a U.S Plant

According to reports, Jaguar Land Rover is currently in talks to build a plant in the United States of America. Sources say that the Company is looking at many options which include the southern states like Nevada and North Carolina. Although little has been said about the plant but it is reported that it will produce around 200,000 cars annually when completed. This move will help the British luxury car maker to offset costly import tariffs and perfect the impact of inconsistent currency rates. Jaguar Land Rover has embarked on massive expansion of its product range since Tata Motors bought the brand from Ford in 2008.
