The paddle shift is component used to change gears manually in a semi-automatic transmission or gearbox on an Automobile. The paddle shifters are usually located on or behind the steering wheel and on either side of the steering wheel. This shifter on the right is marked with the sign + for up shifting or increasing gears while the shifter on the left is marked with the Sign – for down shifting or gear reduction. This system uses electronic sensors to shift into gear on the command of the driver, and it is linked to Semi Automatic Gear Box which have the usual modes like P N R and D.
