Paddle Shifters

The paddle shift is component used to change gears manually in a semi-automatic transmission or gearbox on an Automobile. The paddle shifters are usually located on or behind the steering wheel and on either side of the steering wheel. This shifter on the right is marked with the sign  +  for up shifting or increasing gears while the  shifter on the left is marked with the Sign – for down shifting or gear reduction.


This system uses electronic sensors to shift into gear on the command of the driver, and it is linked to Semi Automatic Gear Box  which have the usual modes like P N R and D.  There is this extra mode is shown with the letter S, which means Sport mode, in this mode, the paddle shifters can be used to change gears manually.

Paddle shifters are fast and smooth way of changing without having to take your hands off the steering wheel and saves you the job of having to use your left leg to depress the clutch pedal with your left leg while driving. And yes the gear change is much faster than the conventional old school bicep building manual gear shift.

Mercedes Benz has revealed the 2015 CLS Saloon and Shooting Break in distinct official images. Driving Habits are formed while learning how to drive most times from the instructor. Most of the time opinion differs as to what is actually "perfect" when it comes to good driving habits. However this list comply with what most professional driving instructors teach.
